As Ryunosuke Satoro once said "Individually we are a drop, together we are an ocean", IndyAct believes in joining forces in order to make the bigger impact. We always welcome the chance to work and cooperate with organizations, institutes and networks who are interested in joining our campaigns and actions. If you are interested in partnering or cooperating with us, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Our current partners are:
Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives (GAIA)
GAIA is an expanding international alliance of individuals, non-governmental organization, community-based organizations, academics and others working to end the incineration of all forms of waste and to promote sustainable waste prevention and discard management practices. IndyAct is a member of GAIA, and helps coordinate their work in the Arab World.
BMA - Beirut Marathon Association
The Beirut Marathon Association (BMA) was founded in 2001 with the purpose of organizing the annual Beirut International Marathon. Up until now, the BMA has organized 5 Marathons in Beirut, and countless running events around the country. In addition to promoting running, health, and personal achievement, the BIM also has a humanitarian dimension that aims at making a difference in people's lives through sports. The BMA has helped IndyAct since its establishment, and is still providing us with priceless guidance and support.
Heinrich Böll Foundation
The Heinrich Böll Foundation (HBF) is a non-profit organization striving to promote democracy, civil society, human rights, international understanding and a healthy environment internationally. To achieve their goals, HBF seeks strategic partnerships with others who share our values. Their namesake, the writer and Nobel Prize laureate Heinrich Böll, personifies the values they stand for: defense of freedom, civic courage, tolerance, open debate, and the valuation of art and culture as independent spheres of thought and action. Currently, the Foundation maintains 24 foreign offices and is currently supporting about 130 projects in 60 countries on four continents. HBF is one of IndyAct’s main supporters, and we always make sure that HBF is updated on all our projects.
Ecovillage is an organically grown project, a place for educational ecotourism, where visitors can learn about the environment, organic agriculture and healthy living. Stay in a mud hut or camp within the pine trees, enjoy organic meals and spend the days on our farm by the river. Ecovillage also provides alternative art workshops to heighten your senses and lift your spirits! Ecovillage and IndyAct have a strong friendship and always strive to assist each other whenever possible.
